Denise established Sewd Fashion Studio with a mission to inspire creativity through the art of sewing and embroidery. With extensive experience in clothing construction and fashion design, she holds a degree in Fashion Management from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh.

Her journey began by teaching sewing classes in local fabric stores and community colleges around the Detroit, MI metro area. Denise’s true joy lies in sharing her love for sewing and design, allowing others to tap into their inner Fashionista, and revealing the gratification and pleasure that sewing can bring! 

Denise’s teaching philosophy focuses on guiding students at a comfortable, steady pace that builds a strong foundation in both sewing and machine embroidery. With a diverse selection of classes and workshops designed for all skill levels, she empowers learners to develop their skills and techniques while enjoying a welcoming, relaxed environment.
